2011,the best chance

Somewhere on the internet I found a poll, which cricket team has the biggest fan following? I don't know what was the result of that poll but if you ask me, India surely has a huge fan club. Indians and cricket cannot be separated. I remember a commentator say that "Cricket is not a sport in India but it is a religion". And so true it is. Therefore, the expectations are way to higher. Fans want their team to win each and every match. Cricket craze reached its optimum level when Kapil Dev's team brought home the gold. Fans where made believe that we can do it, we have the potential. This event pumped up the spirits of the followers. Then, the followers of South Africa, I wonder what has kept them going?. 24 years later, Dhoni and his young brigade stood victorious in the inaugural twenty20 world cup. and this pumped further high into the veins of followers. Currently India rank in top four and fans want them to be the champions of 2011 world cup which is staged in Srilanka/Bangladesh/India. And even the recent performances have left behind the footmarks of a champion team. Few repairs and India can do it, They can hit the bull-eye and Dhoni, who can become a first Indian skipper with two ICC titles beneath his name and hence get his name written in golden letter in history of Indian Cricket. Repairs as in, fielding has been lacklustre from past few tournaments (Yuvraj is in the field but he is not the yuvraj we know) and efforts can be doubled on that skill. India's bowling in the death overs has been a major concern. But the most unresting is poor physic. Fitness of India is lousy and pathetic. Losing a trump player right before the world cup can do no good. That's all I can doodle. Best of luck to India
